Somebody’s baby

Somebody’s Baby is a series of paintings born from decades of devouring obligatory television staples such as “The Facts of Life,”along with cautionary tales including “Desperate Lives,” “Born Innocent,” and “Portrait of A Teenage Alcoholic” (and Shoplifter, and Runaway...)

With these paintings, I merge the lives of the perfect Blair Warner’s of the world with the malcontents of the seedy underworld depicted in the Teensploitation films, specifically those starring Linda Blair.

Somebody’s Baby aims to transport you back to the good old exploitative days of the 1970s and 80s, when Blair already has one foot in the gutter and Sue Ann has a 3 pack a day habit.
